A young boy named Dick Brennan admits to Kildare that he's stolen $5,000. However, the owners of the money claim it was $50,000! Marjorie Northrup is brought in to hospital unconscious after crashing her car in to a tree one night. Dr Kildare has to amputate her leg in order to save her life. When she comes to she hates Dr Kildare and wants to hide from the world for the rest of her life. Dr Kildare may have saved her life but he has destroyed her incentive to live and now he needs to help her to find the ability to cope with it.
